The AK47 Thread
 

This thread is for the AK47, please post pics. and problems, kudos and comments here. I'll start.

I bought my one and only AK47 through Atlantic Firearms. It is a Saiga conversion. Its a beautiful peace of work I think. It was shooting low and I sent it back for them to have a look and see what the problem was. They said I was getting a bullet strike at the brake. They bored it out more and said it shouldnt be a problem anymore. What do YOU think of the AK47?

It also has a bolt hold open feature, are these common on AKs?

I will post more pics. in June sometime when I finally get back home and have a chance to shoot the AK again and see how much better it is with the brake problem solved. Thanks to the poster who bet that the problem with my AK shooting low was the brake. You were right! Make yourself known!

Speaking of AK's does anyone know, what scope mount will fit my side rail? This is not your typical "Saiga" style mount. I will take some closer pictures.

I think I have found some candidate mounts but I am not sure.

Does anyone else have a Polytech National Match out there?

Go to TANTAL'S OPTICS PAGE ... they have every mount and numerous scopes available. I got my mount and PSOP scope (for 7.62x39) for right around $200 shipped.

Here's mine outfitted with TAPCO guards, 6x scope, etc.........I also have a 75-rnd Romanian drum for her too. :wink:
